Smoky Survivor

Fire. Fire was Mahogany Roots's first memory. Fire consuming his pack's camp. Fire in his mother's eyes as she told him to flee and looked for his siblings. Fire licking at his heels as he bounded over the river onto a safe wetland and watched his home burn to ashes.

Sand. Sand was Mahogany Roots's second memory. Sand sticking to his fur as he was limply carried by a strange wolf. Sand beneath his paws as he decided to stay in this strange oasis. Sand flying in the air while he played with Faye, her mother affectionately supervising them.

Mahogany Roots couldn't pinpoint a specific third memory because he had experienced what felt like the world once he'd been accepted into the pack. He was begrudgingly dragged into on various explorations by his best friend and later on mate Faye as pups (and was promptly scolded when they returned). He tagged along with Exodus, the wolf who'd found him and his adopted father, on his scouting trips as an adolescent and learned to hunt from Dixie. 

He would continue exploring these lands and serve his pack.

And maybe one day, just one day...

he would find his family.
