Rowan is the second leader of the Adder’s Tongue Pack. She is even headed, but is prone to bouts of pessimism. The lead wolf is considerate, but can sometimes be too self-involved to notice other's problems. Rowan is close friends with her sister, Fallow and close with all the members of her hunting party, especially Reed, who she had a relationship with for a time.
Her mother Moss started to teach her the ways of the Lunar Plain so that she would be ready to travel it once she was the lead. While Rowan is also spiritual like her mothers were, she is much more devoted to increasing a personal understanding of the world around her. She has yet to walk the Plain, but is aware that the time is fast approaching when she will. In her preparations, she has noticed Shard, the pack’s breeding male acting suspiciously aware of the presence of the place despite its existence not being revealed to the pack.
A brilliant strategist, she has worked with Hart, the Lead Hunter, to increase the amount of prey the different parties catch. With this increase in communication with her older sister, a friendship has started to form where slight resentment once was. With this reparation of a relationship, Rowan has decided to place Hart in the position of Deputy, which she is able to hold in addition to the Lead Hunter role.
