Biography
Vinbärs mother left the pack when Vinbär was a pup. He couldn't understand why she would leave him. He missed her. The alpha took over the care of him and named him. This male has a kind, loving heart hidden under a harder exterior. He was scared of commitment, and never sought out friendships or bonds even though females found him handsome and came to see him because of it. He never took it far. The truth was that many females found his behavior very appealing, as he liked to play around with others but still remained mysterious.
When he met Johanna he became interested, but he noticed many males were interested in her and she rejected all of them. He hunted with her and he came to enjoy her way. She was impulsive, always said what was on her mind and her intuitiveness surprised him. He loved being around her. Their relationship started quickly. There was comfort to her impulsiveness, and he wanted in on it. He wanted to be as impulsive, he wanted to not be scared of change, of people leaving. It wasn't contageous, though, and it worries him. What if its in her nature to find other males? Or to leave him?
He was proven wrong. Much like him, she had a deeper inner life. She wanted him, and him only.
-
When he came back carrying his tiny baby sister, he was surprised, or maybe not so surprised, to find his sons all alone in their cave. His sister was sleeping, so he placed her gently in the puppy pile, watching all the pups squirm and stretch to include her in it, until they fell asleep once again. Now he looked up, where was Johanna? He sniffed the floor and started following a trail.
He came to the river, and the scent got stronger, down a path between the trees and.. there she was! On her way over a tree that had fallen and acted as a bridge over the stream. She looked upset and was walking slowly. Vinbär ran up to her and reached her just as she had passed the log. She looked startled for a second, then she looked happy for less than a second, then she furrowed her brows and growled at him before turning her face away and walking along the river.
"Where are you going?" Vinbär started walking after her, but she didn't respond so he pressed on, "Why are you mad at me, sweetheart?"
Oop, he shouldn't have said anything, Johanna turned around and snarled at him, and began a furious rant about him leaving her and abandoning the pups and never coming back and many more things. Vinbär sat down to listen while she paced around venting her frustrations, he even stayed silent when she accused him of having a lover, though it did make him smirk that she would ever think such a thing, and Johanna noticed so he quickly changed his expression, trying to look as innocent as possible.
"What were you smiling about?!" Johanna barked and came closer. Vinbär sighed, letting go of his made up expression, and shook his head when she growled "What is it?"
"I did not have an affair," Vinbär said in a serious voice, and Johanna looked relieved but also suspicious, "If I did, it would have been with my own mother, ans that's just weird."
Now Johanna looked confused and suspicious.
"Okay fine, I did have an affair with my mother but she wasn't even that good I swea-" and there we go, Johanna couldn't hold her giggles and Vinbär smiled at her as she relaxed her body and sat down. After a short silence Johanna cleared her throat and spoke softly this time.
"You went to see your mother?" She asked, and she looked up at him with her beautiful, suspicious eyes.
"No, why would I-" Vinbär stopped himself, noticing he sounded snarky, and knew he needed to sell himself in a bit better, he said in a gentler tone, "I went to pick up my sister, I never saw my mother but I thank the gods for that."
Her eyes went big and she looked at him silently, obviously waiting for more information.
"My mother had a pup. She didn't want the pup anymore.. Somehow I got word of it, and I wanted my sister to grow up safe with family.." he looked away, pained at his life experiences, "I guess I couldn't let her abandon another pup, I.."
"It's okay, I understand," Johanna cut him off, thank the moon cause he had a lump in his throat and didn't want to speak any further about his mother. He felt Johanna gently rubbing her head against his neck.
