Born to Eira and an outside stud, Heledd was raised by Eira and Heuldys in the leads den. 

Heledd chose to trainas a meddyg under Talfryn and Ysbryd, and found great success in doing so. She passed her arfarniad on her first attempt in Early Autumn 5WD and immediately moved into the herbalist's grove to work full time. She took over as the lead meddyg following Talfryn's retirement in Early Spring 7WD, and served in the role until her own retirement in Early Autumn 11WD. During her time as the lead meddyg she was responsible for the training of Branwen, Ianto, and Vex - all of which went on to be effective herbalists. 

Though generally well liked within the pack, Heledd much prefers to keep to herself. Rarely is she seen in the central camp, and even more rarely is she seen at social events. Much of her time is spent in the herbalist's grove either tending to patients or prepping herbs. Though greatly trusted and respected in regards to her medical prowess, few pack members can say that they know her on a personal level. Friendly interactions are not discouraged, by any means - she simply prefers to focus on her work. She is very close to her sister Ffion and daughter Branwen, and maintains a somewhat familial relationship with the other herbalists; particularly with Vex, who she raised and trained from a young age.

With her first litter in Early Autumn 5WD, it became apparent that Heledd was a carrier for the melanism mutation - with two of the three pups expressing the gene. She went on to mother multiple melanistic pups throughout her life. The vast majority of her pups left the pack

Much like other melanism carriers, Heledd is capable of seeing spirits. However this is an aspect of herself that she prefers not to engage in, and very rarely acknowledges it. She occassionally discusses it with others who share the same ability but refuses to do so with those who do not. Due to her refual to be receptive, her powers seemed to weaken over time. She cites an innate fear of the spirits as her reasoning for doing so, claiming that she only ever saw them as 'formless shadows'.
