Caris

Caris, the First Hunter

Tarix and Nara met Caris mere days after forming their pack and knew they needed members and, more importantly, hunters. Caris is an incredibly unpleasant wolf, or, like he likes to put it, an acquired taste. He specifically does not get along with Nara, who often threatens to banish him should he continue to annoy her. Tarix, however, knows how valuable Caris is, especially in the early days of their pack. Caris, as most of the pack member's have learned, is much more obnoxious to enemies than he is friends. The other members of his hunting party, Bruno and Oliver, understand that Caris, although obnoxious, is a talented and focused stalker. Caris' fights with Nara and other wolves often serve as entertainment for the pups, making him an unlikely favorite. As for his past, Caris has been open about what led him to be the wolf he is. At a young age, he was taken from his pack by poachers. He was then sold to a sanctuary, which turned out to be more of a corrupt zoo. Caris quickly developed a hatred for his handlers, and so became aggressive. Because of this, he was often restrained with rope or chains around his mouth. This abuse has left permanent scarring around his muzzle, a mark he tells the pups is a marking. When a terrible storm hit the zoo, he was able to escape after being left behind. Tarix and Nara were the first wolves he encountered, so his aggressive, unpleasant nature is still being repealed.
