Esca is laid back when he needs to be, but possesses an intense, competitive streak. He's intent and curious, qualities that have attracted Varus's attention, who tool Esca to be his apprentice scout. He possesses respect for the older wolf, though it may not always appear to be the case, and the two occasionally get into arguments.
As a young, energetic wolf, his intensity and merrymaking sometimes came as an annoyance to the rest of the pack, though his enthusiasm was appreciated. He's especially close to Cotia and Marcus, the three of them making up a little band of troublemakers in their youth.
As older wolves, he grew into a smart, perceptive scout who was the first to discover their new home on the prairie. Perfectly at home under the wide open sky, he loves nothing more than exploring with his mate Marcus. The two raised one pup, but remained extremely close for the duration of their lives.
