Claudia was lost to us after wandering far too away from the flaming paws pack, and she was killed by a hunter from the nearby pack in the mountains. Jake had left the camp to scout the grasslands, and found the poor pup's cold body along the trail. Jake gently picked up the mangled pup back to camp. Merida was first to notice her mate's return. "Jake..? Back so so-" the alpha female said and paused in shock as she noticed the stiff bundle in his muzzle. Hux also padded out of the cave of a thousand tales, with a bundle of herbs he had gathered to trade with a wolf pack near the pine forest. He slowed his pace suddenly and placed down the herbs, walking up to Jake to sniff the pup. "Well.. she's long gone.. Shade was worried about where she had gone, i guess i have to tell her the news. where did you find her?" The dark furred wolf said. "Along the path to the grasslands through the mountains.. i found her near the other pack i picked up the scent of yesterday." Jake muttered, placing her down as he sat over her. Hux padded off toward the cave Shade and her other pups were in, and a greiving howl was heard from inside from the raggedy voice of Shade. Merida shook her head. "First Cream comes down with Cystis, Shade and Velvet get Influenza, Mattias falls and gets a gash on his side, Finch is killed by a rattlesnake, and now Claudia.. is dead.." she said sadly, lowering her head and her voice cracked at the last two words. "Hey.. Meri.. it's not your fault.. things happen, and the best we can do is try to pull through either way." Jake said, trying to cheer her up. Merida nodded lightly and gave him a light smile before she looked down at the dead pup, and carried her in her jaws to be buried.
