Vitala likes to role her eyes at the Greek myths. Neela, her mother, wasn't a giant fox, though her personality certainly was. Vitala can attest, however, that the myths did get one thing right. Her mother was never caught. How old the woman is, Vitala will never know, as she didn't get the chance to ask. Here in The Den, Acidia is her adoptive mother who has claimed her as her own.
Vitala was not gifted the same ability as her mother, the Cadmean Vixen, who was destined never to be caught. Vitala is only a half Cadmean Vixen, and not even Itsuki's hexes could hide her fox eyes. Vitala found out early on that she couldnt escape grasping hands like her mother could. Neela always escaped. It was in her blood. She was a woman who has lived a long time and made many enemies. Neela tried to keep her daughter by her side, but it wasnt meant to be. The only way she could be sure that Vitala was never caught herself, was to hide her away. Vitala was left in the hands of Cinder, a woman and werewolf known for her pack, the pack that doesn't exist. The Den was spoken of rarely, and nobody believes it actually exists, except it's pack members of course. Thus, Vitala was left with love so that she never needed to worry about being caught.Â
Vitala's father? Not a Cadmean Vixen. From what Vitala knew, he was a homebody and she swore one day she'd find him. Like Vitala, he was susceptible to capture, which is why Neela had to leave him too. Perhaps together, they'd understand loving the woman who could never be caught.Â
