Kobayashi

Kobayashi means, "Small Forest" and he is named this because of his brown pelt and green eyes.

Kobayashi, or simply Koba, was the pack's first scout, and one of the original five wolves (he was fourth, Kitiara and Ren joining before him) to join the Kohana pack. He's the leader of the scouts, training Sumoa, and he is also the first alpha male as he is Camellia's mate.

Despite being alpha male, he's hardly around the pack. He's had some nights where he slept under the stars by himself instead of coming back from a scouting trip. He's somewhat distant and can be pessimistic, but he's also very loyal. Camellia says he has a soft side when he's around her.

His past likely contributes to his lonesome personality. His family had been killed in the night when he was around half a year old, and his mother fought the intruder to the death, taking the murdering wolf with her. Forced to find a new home, young Kobayashi left his family who would never breathe again. 

He doesn't let this keep him down, however, and he loves going on adventures to new places and befriending other woodland creatures. Camellia is sometimes concerned when he goes scouting, but a good nuzzle and assurance from Kobayashi is all she needs to know he'll be okay.

As of currently, Kobayashi and Camellia have had one pup, Takara, who is the heir to the Kohana pack, alongside his mate LINK.

Upon his passing, Kobayashi was buried under a small group of spruce trees on the mountain. Camellia openly wept, and did not leave the grave until the next morning. Takara was sad at yet another passing of someone he cared about and was an even more sullen wolf by now. Elena and Tammeriku brought some small mountain flowers to the grave. The grave rests peacefully, dusted in snow.
