Brink did not feel she could live up to the responsibility of being Leader of Milkvetch. She never had the drive to conquer that her mother did, nor the sense of loyalty to the pack that her father did.
She has always been anxious and soft spoken, but strives to become as headstrong and fierce as her mother was.
