The Rev'kera were out hunting, and there wasn't a cloud on the horizon. Focused on their prey, they didn't keep track of the rapidly changing weather, and before they knew it a storm happened upon them. Knowing the unpredictability of their territory when it came to storms and flash floods, they decided to abandon the hunt and get back to their den as fast as they could, before they would be cut off by swelling rivers and creeks.

On their way back, they saw the river was already swollen, but not impossible to jump over. Hibar was the last to have to make the jump, but he grew distracted by a faint, forlorn howling. The hunters went down the river in search of the noise, and found Star, drenched and shivering in the rain, stuck on a flotsam of driftwood caught in some rocks. They rescued her and brought her to the den with them, where she was taken care of by the herbalist and pupsitters.

Star won't talk much yet, and is often found deep in thought. Her new pack hasn't been able to figure out where she came from yet, but she did give them her name, and at least she's eating well and surviving. She seems to be slowly opening up to the pack's other pups, too.

Star earned her secondary name - Guiding Star - barely a moon after she turned adult.

There was another storm raging on. She'd barely recovered from the storm that had initially separated her from her own pack. She'd had dreams - pups, like herself not too long ago, meeting a horrific fate, separated from the pack and not having the luck of being found on time.

She shared her concerns with Risnilo, expecting to be told it was nothing. To her surprise and relief, the herbalist took her seriously and called in Oresh, with his nimble hands, to craft her a tail-ornament that would shine bright even in the darkest storm.

A few days later, the storm finally hit.

Star and her two friends were restlessly waiting for the pupsitters to herd the pups back into their cave from where they'd been playing outside the den. Anxiously, they'd asked them if any were missing. To their mounting horror, the pupsitters had confirmed that yes, there were.

Steeling herself, telling herself she'd been expecting this, was prepared for this, Star put on the ornament with Oresh's help, and set out to brave the storm.

She managed to find the pups in time, plucking them out of a river just like she'd been plucked out of one, and guiding them home, shining her light on their path, illuminating her paw imprints in the increasingly soggy ground.

Since the events of the storm, pups have been trying their very best to get the legendary hero Guiding Star to hang out with them or show them around the territory. Star, for her part, isn't entirely sure what to do with them, so mostly tries to avoid their attentions, but when they do get her cornered, she relents and will play along for as long as it takes. Despite her reservations, she always enjoys herself when the pups are tumbling over her and each other and playing with the ornament on her tail, wondering at its mysterious light.
