Born in another mountain pack, Dusty was meant to be a scout but he hated the lands outside the mountains and preferred staying at home and telling stories to the younger pups. He stayed in his pack out of a sense of duty for almost three years, despite disliking the job, but when they obtained a more willing and capable scout he left, looking for a new pack to live in. He soon found the Istone Pack where he was taken in and became a pupsitter, what he had always wanted to be.
