Anaba

Crowned lead in the spring of year 11 after her brother's tragic death.

(her name is navajo, meaning "returns from war.")

Despite her disability caused by the crushing blow of a bear, Anaba not only manages to get around (for the most part, anyway) but holds her own and commands respect amongst her packmates. After being injured by a bear during the hunt, her youthful vigor could do little for her survival. The support of her father, mother, and later on her younger brothers wasn't near enough. She couldn't bear having to rely on her pack's good graces for her survival. 

So when her brothers spoke of leaving, traversing to arid lands that Ryn herself came from. Anaba had heard horror stories from her mother of the lands she came, filled with choking smoke and lack of water. She couldn't let them go alone. And she needed to prove a point. To herself more than anyone, that she could survive in a land far less plentiful than that of her birth. 

At her brother's side, she did more than survive. They thrived. 

Holding her position is no easy feat, and Anaba refuses to rely on her brother's countenance to hold her rank in the Solar Court. A strict and no-nonsense Warden, she does her job incredibly well--particularly with matters of other packs. However intimidating she may be, there's one thing the others know for sure about her: she would give her life to protect her pack. Although her inner strength is evident, some murmur questions of her physical strength--would it be enough to even hold her own in a real battle?
