Faell

Faell is a replacement.

After the sudden drowning of Mihaev, the only remaining pup of Wynt's second litter, the poor khaki mother went into a frenzy of grief. Stumbling out of Leering Pack's camp, Wynt decided it would be best for her to join her newly-deceased daughter.

Why would the world take a pup so young?

Why would a mother be cursed with the knowledge of what could've been?

And why, for everything natural on this forsaken earth, did she stumble across an abandoned pup on her way down to the river?

Be it by coincidence or fate, it seemed that Wynt had been dealt a second chance: Faell, squeaking, abandoned on the rocks and left to die the very same way Mihaev had died. Feeling a new purpose in life, Wynt took Faell under her wing-- and, taking her back to camp, devoted her life to raising the dinar pup as her own.

Since that day, Wynt has been inseparable from Faell. She brings her food. She grooms her ragged fur. She keeps her company, keeping her sheltered from the world that took her pup too soon.

But there are bad days.

Days when Wynt presses close to her, fervently whispering a dead name-- a name Faell ignores, a name Faell has grown all too familiar with. It is not her name.
