Clear Spring

The second leader of the Earth's Bones, she was the granddaughter of Gold in the Rock through her daughter Stone Under Ice. From an early age, Clear Spring won the favor of her pack with her helpful nature and perceptive insight into their needs. With her grandmother growing old and her mother having no interest in leadership, she was a natural choice to succeed her.

A calmer, cooler-headed wolf than Gold in the Rock, she was nonetheless one to be feared in battle. With a clever brain and the strength to match it, few opponents could defeat her. She even ventured into the dreamlands on occasion, always trying for diplomacy first, but ready to fight if she had to.

She had grown up alongside the dashing, sometimes-conceited scout Comet. When they both came of age, they formed a lifelong mate bond; she always knew the right thing to say to keep his ego in check. They raised 26 pups together, and their bond lasted until Comet's death from old age.

Clear Spring herself died a few months after her mate, under a summer sunrise, her thoughts with her beloved Comet. Their daughter Phoenix succeeded her as leader of the Earth's Bones.
