Asher

Asher was the second lead of the Keepers of the Forest, appointed by the old lead, Dimitrius. He took over after Dimitrius' death, three days after the pack moved from their original home in the mountains to their new home in the coniferous forest. The moving of the pack was Asher's idea, knowing that the pack would seem vulnerable to attack from other packs after their leader died and was replaced with a very young and seemingly inexperienced lead. He also saw that the pack was growing steadily and would soon need more room than they had in the mountains. Impressed by his maturity and intelligence, Dimitrius named Asher his heir.

Asher is the son of Zephyr and Kalika, two of the first ever members of the pack, who passed on shortly before Dimitrius did. He was a little impulsive and emotional, just like his father. His sarcastic nature often got him in trouble as a pup. However, he was very smart and motivated. He would do anything for his pack and its goals, so much so that his persistence could sometimes be annoying. He had a skill for planning and strategy, always looking ahead and looking for the smartest or most effective way to get things done. He may have seemed a little cool or distant at first, and had trouble opening up to those he didn't know intimately, but was sweet and kind once you got to know him. He was known for his sense of humor and was always trying to cheer up his packmates when they felt down. His youth and laidback attitude made it sort of difficult to connect with his older packmates at first, and he knew that some would disapprove of him being their lead due to his inexperience, but he quickly proved that he was more than fit for the job and earned their respect. Due to food shortages, the pack relocated somewhat frequently, with Asher always trying to plan ahead and make sure that he was moving the pack strategically to ensure they would have enough food in their next biome. At the time of his death, the pack had made the Taiga their home.

Asher was bisexual and monogamous. His mate was Dawn on the Horizon (known as Dawn). Dawn functioned as sort of his co-leader, though she more often offered emotional support and an ear for his venting or brainstorming than practical help running the pack. They were deeply in love, being best friends before becoming mates, and he didn't know what he would do without her. Even though they had a biological pup of their own - their daughter, Titania - he also considered Dawn's children - Antigone and Ismene - like his own pups, and had a very close and fatherly relationship with them.

Just like his predecessor, Dimitrius, he often spent his time wandering the far-north Glacier biome, causing his packmates to wonder what exactly is located up there that seemingly only leads know about. He lost his eye in a fight with a polar bear.

He died peacefully of old age, appointing his daughter, Titania, as the next lead.
