Biography
The prestigious hunter, and one of Neith’s children. He was well respected amongst his pack, even though he wasn’t always the best at killing the prey.
He had never really thought about having a partner, and considered himself pair bonded to his role as finisher. That being said, when Ash asked to pair bond, a moment of weakness made him agree. Sure, he was fine being alone, but why submit yourself to that when there was someone right there who wanted to be with you?
Besides, a lifetime wasn’t that long.
A lifetime was that long.
Boreas was a great hunter, in theory. He would always put all his effort in, and even if he didn’t get the prey, his fellow hunters couldn’t fault the guy for his seemingly endless energy.
Said seemingly endless energy and seemingly found an end. Ash was very energy consuming, always wanting to run away for short times when their party wasn’t hunting, to see the sights her Grandmother had once seen. She had always wanted to visit the rainforest, even though it was so far away. They had tried it once. Boreas had made it as far as the desert before he needed to stop.
Besides, she was constantly talking to him, even when he was trying to sleep. He tried zoning out a few times, but she would get upset when he didn’t absorb the countless words being thrown his way.
He just couldn’t deal with it any more. He didn’t care if he was looked down upon for breaking a pair bond, but he needed to. Besides, he had become good friends with the new hunter, Coventina. Now that’s a wolf he’d gladly spend a lifetime with.
So, he broke it off with Ashtoreth and requested a change in hunting parties.
Ashtoreth took it poorly, and a transfer of hunting parties was denied.
He shouldn’t have been that surprised that she blew up at him, anyone would. He had ended a lifetime commitment before death. The “do you know who I am” was interesting. In the end, he just had to leave. Nothing was getting through to her, and soon she might try attacking him.
Serapis told him that the pack needed food, and his job was getting the food. The effectiveness of teams would be affected if they were switched up, and that was something he couldn’t risk. He told Boreas that he could be professional about it, and not make the pack suffer because of his mistake.
Okay, being looked down on kind of hurt, but at least Coventina was still very friendly with him. Maybe he should wait a while and try again with her.
