As Hati grew restless she knew she was ready to give birth, this birth was not like any other though it was filled with struggle and strife and She felt as though it was even a battle for life and death.
When the time came to finally push out the last pup she felt something drain her, the final push came and out came a puppy that was smaller than the rest, not runt sized but still smaller, this puppy did not whimper or whine it was silent as the night as it's siblings all cried loudly, this tiny pup was silent as if nothing in the world could disturb it.
As the pups grew and were able to open their eyes Hati finds something she's never seen before, all the pups opened their eyes normally like any litter would except for the tiny one, it kept its eyes closed until night fell that day and the sun coming into the den faded, the other pups fell asleep in a pile but the tiny pup was nuzzled against Her like always but then Tiny pup opened her eyes.
Hati didn't know what she was looking at she had never seen anything like this before in this realm! Only in the dream world had she seen anything like it..
The tiny pups eyes glowed like some of the dream worlds lunar creatures, Hati didn't know what caused this and panicked in her heart, she feared maybe her excursions into the lunar plane might have cursed her, and so she feared what this omen would bring to her pack.
As she was pondering in her heart the tiny pup looked up at her and whimpered for the first time and she knew that the puppy could see her, her worries subsided and her heart eased for she knew her pup wasn't blind but special, special how? She didn't know but maybe instead of a bad omen, a good omen?
She didn't know how or why her tiny pup was born like this all she knew was that she must make sure she was safe from anyone who might harm her tiny little treasure.

As time passed on Tiny pup was given the name of Satin, for her sleek and soft fur was never ending but her eyes seemed that of the monsters of the dark wood.
Satin grew slower than the rest but seemed to be keener than the others, almost as if she was able to peer into hearts and know their true intent.
On occasion Hati herself wondered if her poor girl was cursed or blessed by the spirits or if it was just her own self worry, she shakes those thought away frequently when Satin surprises her with things none of the other pups or wolves in the pack would do or think of and then wonders if those luminescent eyes had any affect on how She views the world, only Satin would know and even then would she truly know? If she didn't think I could see differently than her would she even be able to describe what she saw to me fully and me even understand?
Hati was lost in her heart and slowly started to grow saddened, not really understanding why or how.

As months go by Sátin almost an adult now and all her siblings grown and gone off out of the pack except for Ikoia her eldest sister, Sátin took up following Ikoia around learning from her all the months of growing and even took up an interest in hunting like her, but Hati had to decide whether to choose the eldest or her cursed pup… it wasn't a easy decision but she chose Sátin to protect her,
For if the cursed one is the leader then the pack would be bound to protect her from those that would seek to harm her, and that was her choice and she informed the elders and Ikoia later that week, but only told Ikoia why for she knew Ikoia loved her sister dearly and even protected her as Hati did.
She advised Ikoia to advise Sátin after she passed and to make sure that she never felt alone.

On the night of a full moon Hati was preparing her daughter's for her passing, she told them both that they both were special in their own way, Ikoia with her beautiful fur, and Sátin with her glowing eyes, together with their beauty and treasures they would
Be unstoppable, she warned them of the many obstacles they had to face and many mountains to overcome, but she also told them she knew if they always helped one another and kept eachother safe and led the pack together they would be able to overcome anything and everything, even Hati's own death.
The moon in the sky shining upon them Hati howls a long howl, the pack gathered around in a half moon shape with Sátin and Ikoia in the front closest to her, she howls as long as she can and then as the clouds cover up the moon Hati falls to the ground.
Sátin raises her head Ikoia follows shortly after and they both howl, the pack slowly follows suit, they howl til the clouds let the moon come back into view, as the clouds slowly let the moon peek back out the moon has turned the same color as Sátin's eyes!
The pack stops howling as they slowly notice this, even Ikoia is caught off guard by it and they all look at Sátin as her and the moon both seem to be howling together in sorrow and grief but also Joy for Hati has passed onto the lunar plane where the ancients all are.
Sátin stops howling and sheds one single tear, as the tear drops to the ground everyone sees it glowing and then it hits the ground and a Lunar flower sprouts up out of the soil where it hit,
This makes the whole pack realize why Hati chose Sátin and they all in their hearts decide then and there that they would protect their new found hope and treasure.
