Danica became a leader after her grandmother, Cassini, died from natural causes. She followed in her grandmother's footsteps, becoming a leader very young. Soon after her step-grandfather's death, Mocha became her partner and helped her lead the pack.
Being a young and inexperienced leader, she led her pack to Taiga, hoping they would find a better home. But the pack struggled to make ends meet, so they had to move again.
When Danica became old, she wanted to pass the pack to one of her children. But her daughters, Parsikka and Flicker, left to find happiness someplace else. Only her son, Adler, stayed. And even though he always strived to become a leader, Danica knew he wouldn't be a suitable leader to guide them through tough times. So she made the next leader Zodiac, daughter of Mocha, which she raised and trained from a very young age.
She passed away, hoping Adler would raise his own pups one day. With Zodiac's help, they could keep the family tradition and lead the pack fairly but kindly.
