Biography
April 7 2021: Morning Gaze had been expecting to be picked for heir, but it was still a shock when their remaining leader and founder called her forward. It was actually happening. She padded forward, holding her head high and trying to look the confident leader she knew her pack needed. And to her utter relief, her pack howled their acceptance.
When Fish died that night, they buried him right next to Chips. Morning Gaze took charge first thing in the morning, sending out hunting parties and scouts and the herbalist with surprisingly little hesitation. To her pack mates, she appears to have slid into the leader role effortlessly.
In reality, Morning Gaze is freaking the fuck out. Holy shit. She's the leader of Zephyrus? She hasn't even had communication with their god! How is she supposed to do this?

August 31 2021: Morning Gaze has spent years as the leader now, and with those years she's gained experience. Where before she was rigid and commanding, she has now relaxed, and leads with a loose paw. Some wolves may dislike her lax style, but no one can deny she keeps the pack safe and well-fed. As her bones began to ache and her fur started graying, she decided it was time to move the pack. Zephyrus is meant to go where the wind takes them, and although she still hasn't communicated with their god she knows staying in the desert will do them no good.
And so after saying goodbye to the grave of her mother and all the others they buried here in the scorching heat, she led the Pack of Zephyrus to the shaded, covered swamp. Although there have been complaints about how wet and humid it is compared to the desert, the Zephyrus wolves have always loved a challenge. Morning Gaze spends most of her time lounging in her den and watching her packmates with fond eyes.
