Kestrel

Adopted into the pack as a pup at the same time as Flint Shard, she grew into a smart, confident she-wolf with a soaring spirit, who distinguished herself as the pack's stalker. She and Flint Shard were as close as sisters on the hunt: what Kestrel would find, Flint Shard would catch.

She was the lifelong mate of Otter, a fellow hunter. Despite their deep love and many attempts, they were never able to have offspring who survived past puppyhood. In their later years, they adopted the foundling Sunflower, who became a ray of light to their lives.

Kestrel retired in her final years, serving as a mentor to the younger generations. She passed one month after her lifelong friend Flint Shard.
