Lucius

Lucius was once apart of a small pack but his arrogance got the better of him. He looked down upon the other wolves with their plain common pelts and breeding. For he is decended from ancient kings. He told them that he will find a proper queen to be his mate. One that can equal him in worth and status. He thought none would ever match his greatness.

    Then one day while out traveling he watched a pack take down a large elk. While none of them interested him he couldn't help but admire the teamwork and skill. One of the wolves stood out from the rest. A particularly large she wolf with a strange blue pelt that glimmered with unspoken power. He decided that this one shall be his mate. She was very obviously in some sort of charge.

He talked his way into the pack with a silver tongue and it just so happens they were short on workers. The she wolf was humble compared to other leaders he met and it was mentioned she was next in line to be leader and not currently a leader. This didn't bother Lucius and he went to court her. 

He wasn't prepared for such a humble wolf to put him in his place. With all the talk of standards and expectations he was shocked to find out that she thinks leadership is putting others above herself. But ones like him who think it's ruling over others will be treated with less respect.

So Lucius was humbled. Even more so when her sister, Warcry beat him in a sparring match. These wolves weren't weak like his old pack. They also didn't bow down to anyone. It's like a whole pack of leaders with a royal line of representatives. He felt like he fit in. As long as he didn't go over the top. Thus he became a normal worker wolf under a true leader he could respect. After awhile they did become mates. He is beautiful afterall and he listened to her teachings. He settled down and had a family. Now more understanding and caring than his younger years.

He is highly protective of his family and often gets into arguments with Warcry. Warcry being an anarchist against kings and leading her own little rebellion. But his queen does nothing, saying it was in her father's will to let her continue. Lucius can't do anything because Warcry can very easily beat him in a battle. It's embarrassing

He had set an example of greatness for the pack leading it to glory. Except now the pack is full of wannabe heroes with more achievements than he can keep up with. He may be the blood of kings but the others are heroes, void beings, shadow wolves, and celestial in origins. Compared to him they are related to gods. How did this happen? Ambitions, they have too much ambition. He should've known when he chose his Starbound mate. She was related to ancient Dire wolves who were related to Gods. Now his ties to leadership is the only thing he has over some members of Silverfell. Even his children aren't as great as Echo's children. Lucius fears that one of Echo's children will take leadership. He's feeling very insignificant to this pack now.

Speaking of his children, he realized he hadn't been much of a father figure to them and most of them don't even speak of him. They do their own things. Most aren't even fit to lead in his stead. So he decided to reach out to another pack where he has recently had pups unrelated to Silverfell and he brought Orthel back. Lucius feels Orthel would make a good queen in his stead. He doesn't need the approval of others because he thinks he's the Alpha of Silverfell instead of Ashcore's kin.
