First Star Wolf of Silverfell; The Starbound Queen

Everyone acts like she is the firstborn of Ashcore and Mystriel and that she has inherited their leadership skills. She is considered responsible and it is quickly becoming a burden she is destined to bear. She will try her best when it is time but one lunar moon while meditating, she stumbled upon a wise fox spirit who has informed her of a duo who came before her. Her Imaginative sister Dream, and her Selfish brother Reality. One day they disappeared from the den before she was born. Nobody knows what happened to them and the fox refuses to say. They are the true heirs to the throne and will pose a threat if they come back.

However instead of wanting them gone, Agethern wants to find them. She's been spending more and more time in the Dreamland's, slowly becoming one with the stars. She is hardly here upon the overworld anymore. Only her responsibilities chain her. She longs to be free. But she can't until she is released.

Now she has a new goal in life. She has been advised to become a mentor to a special generation. She took Irna, Vandelian, and Shushanna on as apprentices. They were chosen by the universe itself to fulfill special roles of balance. If she was chosen by the moon to teach them. She must understand their roles.

Agethern can read the stars. She understands their guidance and what they require her to pass on. Irna must learn to share the light of the full moon to guide the lost and use it's light to discover hidden depths. Shushanna must call upon the void to keep mysteries and understand forbidden knowledge that can neither be shared nor lost and keep Irna from revealing all and killing the need for adventure. The fear of the unknown endangers the Voidcaller so the Darkened Soul, Vandelian, must be there to protect the Voidcaller.

The Voidcaller started a howling, Agethern's own mother passed away. She listened to the Voidcallers howl and began to add her own lines;

"Mystriel! My mother and mother of many! Hear our praise! She who awaits us in the stars! Guide me and I shall guide others! My mother beloved, don't leave us here!" Agethern wept but she knew that out of all the wolves in the pack, she was the only one with connection to her in the afterlife because of the stars.

As she fell into her roles, queen duties, pup trainings, Ashcore came from his den and announced that he was leaving to join Mystriel. He will die out in the forest like the nature Guardians tradition. The pack was silenced and even Bayos bowed his head. Ashcore was a respectable king and a good father. Agethern will be guided by him forevermore. Now the pack will change without him.

She walked up to her new den, and found Ashcore's Arnica crown. He left it for her and she put it on. Now properly the Queen of Silverfell. 

She never realized just how hard being leader is. She already had her own things to attend to, such as the teachings of the universe pups. But now she has to fight various creatures of many sizes to feed the pack and keep them safe. Ashcore once fought a bear and brought it's paw back as a trophy. Even at such an old age he was so powerful. Agethern struggles against other wolves. How will she ever take down a bear? She must get stronger. The pups must live in a safe environment. She will make it a tradition for leaders to slay bears to prove their worth. But how does Warcry enjoy battles?

Agethern was sorting the patrols when her father walked into camp. But her father was dead. Wasn't he? He vanished  without a trace on his last day. This wolf was so similar but also different. It wasn't Ashcore. He was too young and darker in appearance. The eyes didn't hold the same glow. His name shall be Ashheart in his honor.

Agethern has been so occupied with all the new puppies flowing in that she hasn't sensed the disturbance until it was too late. Not only has the Prophecy started but also every young wolf in the pack has a misled hero complex. How did they all decide they want to be heroes? How are they all succeeding in getting achievements? Her dear friend Echo is even called mother of Prophecies. Pups who aren't even Silverfell blood are coming in hoping to be trained by great heroes. They do in fact get hero training by other wolves who are called heroes. How did Agethern not notice this? She has lost control of the pack created by her father. But is this truly a bad thing? It wasn't the wise council she expected but they are strong and loyal to their own ideals. She could work with this.

Her biggest concern is Lucius, he is getting ahead of himself in his arrogance. Now he brings a puppy from a different pack and claimed they are the future queen. Agethern is getting too old for this nonsense. Lunashi is the future leader and that's final. He doesn't realize the lead is chosen through Bloodline of Ashcore. He's just a king by association. Lucius died and while she was sad, she knew it was for the best so he doesn't ruin Silverfell's lineage. Little does she know what the Shadowkin plan.

As she grows old, she can feel her spirit breaking free. She is ready to rejoin the stars. Lunashi should be a fine leader. But the Shadowkin have been growing active lately and Agethern has no strength left to keep them away. She will depend on Vandelian to guard Lunashi as she passes.

It seems there was no point as Vandelian was easily defeated. Lunashi was spared but no longer the leader. Agethern was shocked when Wyrda walked in as age caught up to her.

"When you return to the stars, tell mom that we miss her if she still remembers us." Then Wyrda left as the world went dark and Agethern broke free to join the stars with her last breath.
