Hollowheart

Hollowheart kept her distance upon joining the pack, snapping and snarling at every wolf who got close. She refused to hunt, refused to scout, refused to pupsit. She basically refused to do anything to contribute to the pack, and instead made life harder for everyone. The only wolf who managed to get through to her was Firestorm, an older red and black male who had joined shortly after. Firestorm's gentle prodding caused Hollowheart to melt slightly, and there were soon whispers of the two having pups.

Of their first litter, only one pup survived, a bright red male. Hollowheart gave him all of the love that she knew how to, watching him grow up as her mate aged and declined as he got older and older. When Firestorm finally died, Hollowheart's old, rough, cruel personality returned. Fireheart was fully grown at this point, so he escaped the brunt of it, but unknown to Hollowheart, she was pregnant with Firestorm's last litter. One would think that Hollowheart would be kind to Firepup and Stormpup, the last living remnants of her old mate, but all she gave them was her milk, and names to reflect their father's heritage.
