Married to Hutch for political purposes. The albino wolves want to make a truce with marriage so her mother married her to Hutch. They don't get along well and they do not love each other. She joined the Guard do to her unhappiness. She takes her anger out on any who would hurt the pack.
The Queen had her last litter and Princess Icicle was still the only white female wolf born. She was forced to leave the guard and prepare to be the next Queen. There is much talk about what to do since an outsider is her husband and would be made queen. The pack is in an uproar about if she should be allowed to be Queen or not due to him.
Eventually the pack decided to make Queen Glaciers son Tobias the king (Icicles little brother) due to her marriage to a foreigner. but since a male can not be leader; they are marrying him to the Queens brother the Lord Commanders daughter Rouge.
