Freyla

The second Alpha of Saberpack, Freyla was not born in their territory but still made her way to the top of the hierarchy. Her unique coat caught the eye of the future Alpha, Kaine, when they were young, although she couldn't stand the male's personality for most of her younger years. 

It was only when they began scouting together by order of Alpha Rykenah (who no doubt recognized the attraction) that she grew fond of him, but held herself back, knowing he was destined for leadership and she was not. She feared that having two outside wolves as Alphas would create tension within the pack and rejected all of Kaine's advances for many moons. 

Due to their similar roles and schedules, Rykenah allowed Freyla to join in on many of her lessons with Kaine and Freyla enjoyed them thoroughly. She excelled, even when Kaine would sometimes fail, so when Kaine approached Rykenah with his plan, she accepted his decision, knowing her pack would be in good paws. 

When Kaine renounced his title and offered it to her instead, it came as a shock but also gave her a moment of clarity where she realized she could trust her heart and lead her pack mates at the same time. She had seen what choosing between the two had done to Rykenah, and accepted Kaine's role, her first act naming him as her mate. 

She was not gifted by the gods, but upon the night of Rykenah's passing, the gods bestowed her the very gift they'd given her predecessor and she awoke the next day with saber fangs, another tool she'd use to defend her pack. 

She and Kaine soon had a litter of pups, a daughter named Purog, and a son named Brokr. Their daughter chose her own path and happily lives with a new  pack, but their son remained and has become one of the most reliable pack members.
