Boulder

(WIP)

He and Fern arrived around the same time, as part of the Pack's attempt to gain more members. The two are close, being outsiders coming in together. He's also close to Wren, despite the two being rivals for the Pack's Representative (stud-male) role. The two are friendly rivals, probably due to them having similar, care-free personalities.

Boulder was brought into the Pack in the hopes of being the Pack's Representative, while Wren is seen as the more likely option, as he's River's son.

However, as time passed, it became more and more clear that Boulder wouldn't be the Pack Representative. While the large male was meant to be competing against this stranger for a rank that was meant to bring honor on his name for generations... Boulder just... Couldn't care... More often than not, he was dozing, or daydreaming, or sneaking off to go hunt with his crush, Fern. It wasn't that he didn't care about the Pack he was in - no, he saw them as a new family, and loved them deeply! He just... Didn't care about the role, the supposed "power" that meant he would have to be a part of. It just didn't appeal to him, honestly.

Especially if it meant they looked down on him, the way he was sure they did when he dozed off, or snuck off to hunt. He never said anything - after all, he was just an outsider, trying to gain some role he didn't even care about.

(WIP, relationship change with him and Fern/Fern rejecting him/him pushing Fern too far. Them still being friends, but him being upset at her "rejection". Making friends with Wren, starting to realize Wren is being treated by the others similar as him for being the "lazy, dumb" younger one who's not interested in being PR. Starts gaining feelings)

And, he eventually found out, the other male felt the same.


The two eventually admitted their feelings to Flash and River, who conceded the two couldn't exactly be Pack Representatives with their feelings towards each other...


As the seasons passed, the two lived happy lives together, eventually adopting four pups. However, a sudden sickness spread through the Pack, quickly killing many. Boulder and Wren died together
