Biography
Traveling wolf rules here
Owner: LittlePuppy (#2787)
Backstory: Ranger was born in the Deciduous Forest in the Locust Creek pack. His father was from an allied pack in the same area. Since both of his parents have passed, his desire is to explore the world and the culture of other packs in hopes that he can return with better knowledge.
Traveling Records:
Arrived at the Alaasiqak (Olivia 💜#44840) telling us he was traveling the world and asked if he could stay for a few days. The agreed and helped keeping an eye on the young ones.
In his travels, Ranger stumbled upon a mysterious pack in the woodlands. They were a secretive bunch but they let him join their migration to the mountainous regions. They spoke of a sacred deity that guided them through the physical plane and showed great respect for the world around them. While he walked with them, a pup named Stonehenge really took to him and they got along well before he decided to move on in search of more adventures.

A few days into the mountains and Ranger had developed a limp. He was thirsty and felt as though his entire body was aflame. There was a pack nearby where he could rest and get medicine, there had to be; he could smell them. He felt himself sinking to the cool earth. He'd lay for awhile to regain some strength. Hopefully, this wasn't the end of his travels.
The smell of meat awoke him and when his eyes finally fluttered opened, a pair of deep purple ones stared back. Behind them was a gorgeous wolf whose fur emitted a soft bluish glow.
"A radiant spirit? I'm dead." Ranger gasped.
He was somewhat shocked when the other responded in the deepest, most masculine of voices, "I get that a lot. You're not dead, but you would've been if Tourmaline hadn't found you when she did. You were riddled with infection. Probably from those sliced up paw pads of yours. Wolves with soft feet should stay out of this part of the mountains."
"I'm just a traveler passing through," he replied as he sniffed at the medicinal leaves now wrapping his feet.
Another beautiful wolf stepped forward, her coat a shimmering rainbow and her voice rich, warm, and thick with southern charm, "Forgive me, Suga. I should've helped ya sooner but it's jus' me an' th' pups out here." She licked his face apologetically. "Feelin' better now, Hun?"
"If you guys are gonna kiss and coo, I'm outta here." The glowing male huffed before turning to depart.
"Thank you, doctor!" Ranger blurted after him.
"Just call me Tempest … and if you want to thank me; help Tourmaline get the pups back to DragonsReach (weredragon'swifie #34171)."
"Come along now, 'Tenderfoot'." The female teased with a chuckle.

Ranger was horribly lost in the desert heat. Thankfully, he had found himself a small trickling creek to follow. Even though food was sparse, he had the feeling water would be his saving grace in the dry desert heat. He followed the winding creek south, sensitive nose picking up something that excited him to his core: other wolves! It had been days since he had so much as seen the sign of another soul.
The wolf he came across wasn't near as happy to see him as Ranger was her. A muscular golden-furred she-wolf planted herself in front of him, demanding his name. Yet, she seemed more apprehensive of him than he was of her. She was young, not much older than a yearling, yet the red hawk feathers of a wolf of status adorned her fur. Introducing herself as Eventide, she took Ranger to her densite and leader, a scarred old she-wolf by the name of Anaba. Surprisingly, she welcomed him to stay as long as he liked. Ranger immediately offered to help around the strange camp that they called Redrocks, and so he stayed for a few months before heading on his way.

7/8/21 arrived in the Dragon's Claws pack.
"What's it like being a traveler? Don't you get tired of holding those feathers? Do you use things to write down your adventures? Is there-"
"Uhm-"
"Agate." Eudialyte said gently..
Agate shook herself, her fox colored pelt swaying.. "Oh, sorry, too many questions again. I don't mean to pry, we're just new to the whole 'traveler' thing. We just sent off a wolf, and I'm SOOOO curious!"
"It's ok, I'm sure you'll get answers to your questions." Ranger said calmly.
Eudialyte cleared her throat. "Welcome to the Dragon's Claws, Ranger." The brand new lead still needed some practice. Her eyes glew white, and a mystical, beastly aura surrounded her. "You may remain for as long as you need until you must take off again. You may rest in the holding den, where visitors may stay. Feel free to make use of any of our services."
Ranger enjoyed the pack. The variety of wolves were all welcoming. Cobalt took a liking to Ranger, and the shimmering Lonsa wolf even took him along on one of his hunts! Cobalt, as well as everyone else, was sad to see him go. Eudialyte gave him a departing gift as he said good bye.
May the winds rise under your wings, traveler.
Ranger could have sworn he heard a feminine voice say that as he left the territory, but there was no one there...

Ranger soon found himself in a sprawling meadow, where he stumbled upon a pack infested with fleas. They welcomed him, but kept him separate with a few other wolves to ensure they would stay healthy as their herbalist worked tirelessly to cure the pack in quarantine. Ranger gladly helped gather herbs, but one day, found an old abandoned house near the outskirts of the territory, and was even more surprised to find more than just spiders inside: flocks of frozen birds and their nests, complete with eggs. He figured they must have been taken by a late frost in the spring, but he brought them back to the pack as a farewell gift.

Ranger traveled to the Noel Winter Eve pack. the pack is located in the cat skills mountains. Winter Magic the l leader of the pack at the time greeted him. he followed her to the pack. she introduced the pack members and Sophia the pack's herbalist at the time. Winter Magic explained to Ranger that Sophia is blind and deaf. ranger learned that while he was visiting the pack he could choose his role. he decided to be a hunter for the pack and help teach the pups in the pack. so he join the main male hunt group. he taught two lessons to the pack's pups. Ranger knew it is very important to teach the next generation of pups , because they are the future of the pack.
8/28/2021 arrived in the Elaras pack.
Ranger's ears pricked at the sounds of howling. But it didn't sound like normal howling, it had more depth and called to him like no howling had done before. The tones changed slowly and in sync, coaxing out the weight in Ranger's chest from his heart beating quickly and slowing. He felt relaxed and airy as he traveled through the valley that echoed the song of the wolves that lived there. It didn't take long for him to stumble into a circle of fallen trees to a pack gathered around singing and dancing. He couldn't help himself as he threw himself into the fray, lured in by the howls of the wolves. He didn't notice at first the light energy that came from their maws as they sang that encircled him and his paws, coaxing him to dance and relax. It felt like hours before the songs came to an end and the dancing stopped. He was brought to a den of his own where he could rest and in the morning he came out to a few rabbits prepared for him to eat.
The wolves didn't speak of his first night, and he honestly thought it was all a dream. He theorized and accpeted that he had come into the valley and been brought right to the den. Though the soreness in his paws and legs from dancing didn't fade quickly enough for him to completely reject the 'dream'. He stayed for a few days, partaking in some of the pack's daily routines such as clearing new dens, hunting, and teaching the pups some skills of his own. He became too curious and asked one of the wolves about his first night. He doesn't remember what they said, but found himself walking out of the valley as the sun rose with a feeling of mystery.
9/2/2021 arrived in the Moirai pack.
Ranger could feel the weight of his many years upon his back. It had been a long trip, from the beginning of his life when he was young and almost died in the mountains, to now, as his journey was slowly reaching the latter half. He'd learned much, but felt there was still more yet to see.
He was so preoccupied with this that he never noticed a wolf with a startlingly red coat watching him, until the wolf barked.
"Who are you, journeying into the lands of the Moirai?"
Ranger's head rose, his eyes tracking over and his ears twisting in the direction of the sound. And that was when he saw the wolf, a huge young male, strength evident in the thickness of his neck and in his calm stance.
"I'm Ranger, a traveler. And you are? Can I take shelter in your pack tonight? As you can see I'm no longer a young wolf, and winter is approaching. I ask for nothing in return but to get to know your family, to hear from them and carry their stories along."
The other wolf's eyes narrowed, assessing him. The red wolf was not stupid, though he was clearly young.
"Hmm! Well you don't seem as strong as me, so challenging you would be pointless. I'll take you back to our pack's mother, Graham Biscuit. She'll know what to do with you. My name's Fire, by the way. Come along."
And he turned and slipped back into the woods.
Ranger stared at the spot where Fire had been. He knew the wolf was still there, but he seemed completely invisible! Startled, he sniffed for the other and then followed the young scout.
They travelled deep into a swamp and far from the bright sunlight, to a tangle of dense mangroves and fierce mosquitoes. Biting at the annoyances absently, Fire signaled him on, and it was then he realized there were many wolves within the bracken around the mangrove trees. Most shared the drab color scheme of the earth, but a few were bright, like Fire. A dust-colored female noticed him, and moved toward Ranger.
"You're new. I see Fire brought back more on this scout than just a couple feathers and old bones! I'm known here as Graham Biscuit. My grandmother founded this pack, the Moirai, or lifeline seers. For we are the descendants of goddesses, the woodlands given form and flesh to walk about with other wolves. My family, as you can see, is quite large but I and my mate are welcoming. Stay with us a little while if you would like, you're not the first, actually."
Ranger didn't feel disturbed by this, he felt oddly calmed. Backing his ears in a show of respect, he nodded. "I would like that. Thank you for your kindness"
Ranger found the Moirai accepted him with no question. They let him teach the puppies about all that he had seen in his travels. Sometimes, he would even find an adult watching from afar, eager to hear what sort of things the wolf may have learned as he journeyed so far beyond their own lands.
As a result of their hospitality, he spent quite a while with them. The pack tended to get restless and move great distances, so he found his need to voyage momentarily subdued as he moved from the deep jungle to the far arctic with them. Finally, however, it came time to go, he could feel it in his bones. He had stayed with this pack for a long time, enjoying their hospitality, but he had other adventures to find.
The night he finally considered leaving, he ventured away to a spot where he could look for miles, a large hill, but he found it already occupied by Nightrunner, the pack's old father and sire of Graham Biscuit. They stood in silence for a time, looking down at the valley in the taiga where the pack was sheltering.
"I have few days left, and I miss my Kiana. I will be glad to go to her and leave our daughter in charge. But your adventures are still as numerous as the stars above us. Don't forget to go home one day. Home is important, you know?"
Ranger considered this, then nodded to Nightrunner and they both sat out for many hours watching the stars and the sleeping pack. At some point Ranger fell asleep, and when he awoke, he was curled up on the hilltop alone.
After some thought, he went to let Graham Biscuit know he was leaving, but she looked deeply troubled and he realized all of the pack was subdued. She informed him that Nightrunner had passed on to the Deep Forest Pack mere hours ago, but he had left the traveler with a gift.
Ranger wasn't sure what to say, he was surprised and honored. So he wished those in the Moirai well, and departed with the sunrise, remembering the words of the old wolf.

10/3/2021 arrived in the Frosted Lunar pack.
It was a Misty foggy night when Ranger as fallen under a mysterious fever. He stumbled upon a distant pack that lives within the mountain. They are called the Frosted Lunar pack and they praise the Winter moon they have said. They took him to their Healer who is a older female with a almost dark presence. She spoke to him like they were he was a pup and started to mix a cure for his fever. Ranger asked why were there so many blue stones laying everywhere to which she replied they are the spiritual lunar stone of which great leads have the honor to dream walk through the lands of the sprits where magic was free and wild. Ranger have heard about those tales. Ranger asked the herbalist how she knew so much. She paused and continued to work as she said "because our lead before was quite chatty" she smiled and handed to ranger a cure and a bundled up cure. She said "take this one and here is a spare for your travels, come why not take a spare rabbit" ranger took the cure and grabbed his spare as she lead him out to the pile of food and gave him a rabbit to carry as well. She told him to be wary of the shadows below as she lead him out to travel once more. He didn't quite understand her still it was too late. He was just about the edge of the mountains base where the trees start to grow when ever a voided canine figure started snapping its jaws at ranger coming from …somewhere ranger wasn't sure for now he was being chased and he ran with all his might but ended up dropping the rabbit and a few other things (ran away) losing some of his beloved items . When he was far enough he caught his breath. Now fearful, hungry and sad about his things he continues on to travel noticing a small scratch he has gotten he shrugs and carries on shaken at what he had went through. Added a Scar
