The child of starlight, even though, like his sisters, he was born green. He was blessed with a set of double merle patches.
He very easily became beloved by everyone, as he was a very sweet boy. Even though seven other wolves had given birth around the same time, with 20 wolves being born, he was the favourite by far. His mother would spend as much time doting on him that she could, despite her scouting role. He grew up on stories on the Dreamlands told by Serapis, and longed to venture there someday himself.
Zeus spent the most time with the pup, aside from his pupsitter, due to somewhat recently retiring from his scouting role, and begging Serapis to not assign him a new one. Khonsu loved Zeus, and the two quickly became inseparable. Zeus willed him his prized owl talon necklace.
During his first lunar event, something happened. Khonsu had taken on his mother's habit of exploring the forest. During his explorations, he saw something shining in the underbrush. From Serapis's stories, Khonsu knew this to be lunar essence, what was needed to explore the Dreamlands. Khonsu was delighted, he would finally be able to do what he had dreamed of since a young pup! He happily returned to the den, making sure to hide the lunar essence.
Once night had fallen, Khonsu seized his chance. Using the hidden lunar essence, he crossed into the Dream Forest. He was amazed, it was so much more magical than Serapis had told! As he wandered, he drew plenty of attention from the local animals, his green fur in contrast to the world of blues and purples.
During his explorations, he came upon a wolf. She was a black wolf, with glowing blue eyes. She watched him, before approaching. Khonsu knew he should leave, that this world wasn't meant for him to explore, but he was frozen. The strange wolf came face to face with him, before fading, along with the glow from the surrounding trees. It was day break. Khonsu trudged back to the pack, disturbed. He trudged into the den, only to receive stares from the others.
He was met with shock by the other wolves. They told him, incredibly shocked, that he was now blue. Khonsu couldn't believe it, and ran to the river. Even with his reflection right in front of him, he couldn't believe it. He was blue.
Upon Serapis's return from the Dreamlands, he was guided to the new Khonsu, who told him of his adventure. Serapis said he thought the description of the strange wolf sounded familiar, but he couldn't be positive. He promised Khonsu if he saw the wolf in his travels, he'd try to ask her what had happened, so intrigued in the story that he didn't scold the younger for venturing into the Dreamlands.
Days later, it was clear his transformation wasn't done. Small tentacles were growing from his head, elbows and tail, with glowing trails along his legs. Due to the the glowing, he was kicked into a separate cave. By the time he was an adult, he truly looked like he belonged to the Dreamlands.
It was Zeus's idea for the youngster to become the next breeding male, as Khonsu was a fair and friendly wolf, and the trip into the Dreamlands had imbued him with a very pretty new coat. Saga was hesitant about the idea, but relented once she'd seen how excited Khonsu was about taking on his father figure's role.
Once Khonsu had grown up, he took the role of a scout, like his mother and father figure, Saga happy to step down so he could take her place. After Zeus's death Khonsu took on the role after a brief period of mourning.
