--CAPTAIN ROSVELL ENTRY LOG, 1893--

Basil was one of the 9 kids I had found that fateful day. along with Saber, Ghost and Thorn. 

A group of runaways, living off of stolen currency and half rotten food. I am still unsure why I took them in that day, as I had little appeal to children, especially trapped on a Train with them! maybe I saw myself in some of them. (a relatable past.) or maybe I had seen a use for them.

it's been over a couple of years now- and most had grown up and gone, giving their thanks and what not. but Basil was different from the rest of the bunch. Basil had refused to leave and yet always wanted more.  I proposed the question of 'why'. that she, an adult, was more than welcome to leave a fulfill a life of her own. 

"but this is a life of my own. everyday is a new mission, a new song to sing, a new Station, new people. endless inspiration. I rather be a low leveled criminals than a high class portrait." 

we had heard the call of a eagle in the distance. 

"you cannot burn legends."

and with that she had grabbed her sketches and went into town for the evening.
