Artemis

Artemis was born a lone wolf. She had her mother and father and that was all she needed. 

Everything changed when the wolves attacked. 

Her mother was slaughtered before her very eyes. Her father tried his hardest to protect her, but eventually he fell. The four wolves toyed with her, giving her a couple of nasty gashes. Somehow, she escaped. She ran away as fast and as far as she could before collapsing in a forest of towering oak and maple trees. 

She always wondered why they never followed her.  

The night Artemis stopped running and finally allowed herself to rest, she met a kind stranger. He introduced himself as Aristaeus and offered to take care of her. She eagerly accepted his offer, craving the kindness of another wolf after the trauma she just went through. 

Aristaeus nursed her back to health over the course of a few weeks. They became fast friends, and grew even closer over the next few months. Eventually, they became mates and started their pack. Artemis the alpha Queen, and Aristaeus, her faithful King.
