Malady is cold and extremely unfriendly towards any and all who meet her. Try to start a conversation and she'll give you a sidelong snarl and walk off. Malady hates other wolves, but loves nature. She would rather live out in the open than huddle down inside a hut. Due to the cold air inside the valley snow always covers the ground. Malady hates snow. It destroys all the warm luscious colors that lie hidden beneath, covered by a cold layer of ice. Malady understood at an early age that the only way to truly be able to get out in the open, away from the cold, is to become a scout. She would do her best, fool anyone into believing she'd be a loyal and faithful scout who would go out one day and return with information the next! She didn't fool anyone. Every marauder could smell right through her deceit and she would never be allowed the scout title. No one leaves, those are the rules. There was only one other way she could get out of the valley; becoming a raider.
It was the toughest training and took all of her dedication until she finally made the role. Now she is allowed to leave, but only with her raid team. Since every raider knows of her wish to leave the tribe she is always kept under supervision, if she attempts to flee from them; she will be executed.
Overtime Malady have come to accept this way of living. Raiders spend most of their time away from the valley, and she is absolutely fine with that. She have learned just the right tricks to "accidentally" fail a hunt, ensuring the raiders have to spend more time gathering their strength and find a new trail before returning to the valley. Sometimes they've even needed to sleep under the stars because of her accidents.
Malady is loving every second of it.
