2nd member of pack | Mate of Saba
Kodi was the son of a wolfdog who had been dumped after contracting a chronic illness in a breeding facility. His mother never told him much of her own past, but he assumed it wasn't good. He was the only live pup his mother gave birth to. She was too sick during his childhood to really teach him anything. Thankfully they were often helped by passing travellers so they didn't starve but his mother only got sicker and sicker. When he was around 11 months old, his mother finally passed.
Thankfully he bumped into another young wolf, Saba, who taught him the basics and helped him survive. He was a silly but loving goofball who was never very good at hunting and too forgetful to be a pupsitter. She and him became great friends and when their pack began to grow, Kodi was very happy. He loved his place as beta and did his very best! He and Saba fell for each other hard and decided to have pups.
The birth of his son and daughter was Kodi's proudest moment. He tried his very hardest to be a parent but having never really been parented himself, he often didn't do very well and eventually started avoiding the pups. As they grew into adolescents and adults, he began growing incredibly close to Thunder, who shared his stormy grey fur and blue eyes.
He loved Thunder and Redwood dearly but when he insulted his mother constantly, he would always defend her, often threatening to fight his son. When Redwood lost his challenge to alpha and left the pack along with his sister, Kodi was utterly devested and was never the same after that. His goofball nature became much more mature, only peeking through on the odd occasion.
He often found himself lost in thought on long walks after that. It let him process his thoughts. This lead him to discover he really liked scouting and how he became the pack's first scout. When an older, far more experienced scout joined the pack, Kodi eagerly took lessons from him and grew to be very good friends with him.
Kodi was very proud of and loving of his second litter, trying his best to be the father he failed at being to Thunder and Redwood. He taught Ghost all he knows about scouting and loved it even in his old age. Saba was his soulmate, and even through all the hard times he never lost his love for her.
