Biography
Willow founded the Skeletal Guardians with his close friends and mate, the name coming from Storm and Acorn's jokes of how he was overprotective and looked similar to a skeleton. A bit hesitant at first to take up the leader role, he soon felt pride at how well the pack was running, having found a valley surrounded by mountains to call home, he can often be found at a cliff by the entrance to his den high up on the side of one of their protective mountain, watching his pack with pride.
One day while out on a walk with his mate Acorn, they came across a young pup, far too young to care for itself. After a not so long talk and a lot of stubbornness from the usually stoic leader, they pair brought the pup into their camp, adopting Runi as their own. While hesitant at first, Acorn would soon quietly complain at Willow on his sadness at Runi's lack of interest in Acorn's line of work as healer.
One day Storm had entered camp with something, or things, in her mouth. Watching as she dashed into the entrance to his den, Willow turned to meet her part way. As she came into earshot, he was surprised at the sound at pups whining, but kept his stone face as she turned the corner to face him. "Willow, say what you want afterwards, but hear me out", she said as she set the 2 newborn pups down, giving him a glare, daring him to object to her demand. She explained the situation, she had pups with a rouge wolf, plain and simple, she declared that she would accept any punishment he decides, but will not apologize for it. The entire time, and for a few moments after, Willow didn't say, nor do anything, simply sit there stone faced. "Well?", the she-wolf broke the silence, obviously fearing the worse, leading to Willow to break into hushed laughter, his null expression melting into a grin, "Oh no! You had puppies! The poor souls! With you as their mother!" he howled, laughing for a bit longer before calming down, "Relax, I'm not going to punish you for this, would be a pretty small thing to throw out a friend over, anyhow". Storm's gaze relaxed, but some worry lingered, "But what about the pack?", Willows response was to get up and start padding towards his cliff, "What about it? I'll deal with it". As the leader padded out of the tunnel and onto the moonlit cliff, he could heard his mate, Acorn, checking the pups as Willow howled for a pack meeting.
As his closest friend, Storm, passed away and mate, Acorn, soon after, the leader had become much harder to spot, usually hiding away in his den, mourning the fellow pack founders. He would occasionally be visited by his oldest daughter, Runi, and her friends Torrent and Tsunami, but his most common visitor was understandably his youngest daughter and heir, Cicinlie, who had been adopted only months before Acorn's passing. While he tries to be there for his pack and by no means neglects his duties as leader, the entire pack can tell that despite his stoic look, his still heavily grieving.
It was obvious that Willow would not survive much longer, as despite his unwavering insisting that he is as strong as ever, his legs, that now shake even while just getting up. Some say he died from a broken heart at the disappearance of the oldest of his two daughters, Runi, others think old age finally caught up to him, but the entirety of the pack grieve for their first leader. May he never be forgotten.
