It was at a gathering between three neighboring packs that Kurova first saw Birchpelt. They sat together and talked, and did so anytime they were both at a gathering for the next year. The normally selfish wolf found himself developing feelings and caring about Birchpelt. They began to meet at night, strolling along the borders and talking, for another year. Then they left their packs to be together.
Kurova won't admit it, but he's grateful for Shadeleaf and her friends for taking the two in and helping them raise their pups.
