Formerly known as Claylock, he grew up in thornwell sanctum, untill the great devouring called fernway had consumed the lands and the pack was in turmoil. His leaders refused to leave, and believed that if it were god's will for them to survive, then they would - and that it was not for the mortal wolf to choose to move the pack, as they had been living on that land since, allegedly, the beginning of time itself. he stopped believing in the good will of the gods/ancestors, and as a result, thornwell sanctum decided he had to be banished.
The name Codac an insult spat at him from the leaders as they pressed him into the river of death. [in thornwell lore, Koda was the original traitor of wolves, who was then cursed by the gods to live a solitary life - they did not look kindly on lone wolves, and banishment was the highest punishment, worse than death. (for them, death could be seen as being accepted by the gods) the original Koda, as part of her punishment, was made immortal. so they believe that to be banished to live an eternal solitude] Codac took the name "Koda" and made it his own.
