Kavik was found severely injured and starving by the Lonely Mountain Pack, and started out cautious and easily startled. Koga managed to convince him to join the pack's first hunting team, which helped his confidence grow, and soon he went from meekly following the group to becoming part of the skilled group of chasers with Koga and Kiba, their bond making them almost unparalleled.
