Biography
Dewberry is a traveling lorist and storyteller. Charming, flirtatious, and quick-witted, she's always ready with an interesting tale or an apt comment. Yet there's a certain distance to her. She's friendly towards everyone, but not friends with anyone; her only attachment is to her own journey and her own stories.

Dewberry is a traveling wolf! She's chosen a nomadic lifestyle, seeing the world and never spending more than a few days with any pack. For more info, here are links to the Travelers' Haven, a secluded oasis where traveling wolves can rest and swap tales of their travels, and the Traveling Wolf Rules. In short, please DON'T keep her for more than a week before gifting her to someone else, and (if you like) please DO add decor and/or write in her bio about her time with your pack!

Dewberry was originally a rescue pup, adopted from the Enclave by Chendol and Wraith. In her version of the tale, the "adoption" was very dramatic: Dewberry was fleeing from a ravenous bear, and Wraith ran in and challenged the bear to single combat (which of course she won) while Chendol whisked Dewberry to safety. (Did Wraith ever fight a bear in her entire life? Possibly not. But that's the story.)
Chendol was the head pupsitter of the Sun Stealers, and she was training Dewberry to be her successor. But both Chendol and Wraith passed away while Dewberry was an adolescent, and after that, Dewberry couldn't bear to stay with the pack any longer. She yearned for open skies and unexplored vistas. Dewberry arrived at the Alaasiqak after a long trek through the taiga and the mountains. She would not rest for long the pack needed a hunter to replace a pregnant female for a few days. Dewberry being the adventurer she is jumped at the opportunity to help out and she did a fabulous job too. A few months later, Dewberry stopped by her old home to rest her paws for a few days. She showed signs of a recent pregnancy, but no pups came with her, and she very clearly did not want to talk about it. Instead, she spun fantastical tales of the exotic lands she had visited. [Lionel#34199]
Dewberry left again, to continue her adventure. Soon she arrived at the Chryos pack, who welcomed her with warmth. Whilst she stayed with them, they gifted her a crown of flowers that graced important members of the pack and a pendant from the lunar lands that suited the colours of her fur. Dewberry still kept leaving the packs, Continuing her adventure, She found a sudden smell by the mountains, She followed it until she found the Energy pack's den, It was like- almost huge, but she was able to fit in the hole, Aster and the other pack members welcomed her to the pack and lead her in to meet with the rest of the pack, She currently loved fish but as soon she noticed that Fish was also a female by the time she loved her, She shook her head and ended up meeting the rest again. Dewberry went out, not to leave her pack so early, but wanted to know more about the Mountains, Dewberry found a wolf that seemed aggressive, She tried to talk to the wolf but all that came was fighting, She retreats and never wants to see a wild unknown wolf in the wild, then Dewberry returns to her pack, the Herbalist asked why she had scars and she said the story about how she fought a wild unknown wolf in the Mountains, pretty cool. Dewberry was met by King Helios on her way out of the mountains, and he brought her to what he called his "Kingdom of Light". The wolf seemed charming but rather full of himself, and Dewberry wondered what his puppyhood was like to make him believe so highly of himself. However, she seemed to fancy the way he spoke of the world around them, and the two were soon spending plenty of time together. She even softened his heart a little, it seemed, because he soon started spending a fair chunk of his spare time tussling with the pups of the pack and telling them stories of the great places beyond their home. While she only stayed for such a short while, the lady left behind more than a broken heart. She took with her the memories of the moonlit walks she and Helios shared, and wondered how she would tell the tales of his pack as she once again began her travels. Dewberrys stay in the Abies pack was calm and uneventful. One day she saw another traveller ger beat up by a wolf he tried to hit on, whoch was rather entertaining! - #29379
During her stay with the Tellurian Druids, Dewberry noticed that the wolves here seemed... Well, like they were collectively taking a deep breath. There was a fading tension that lingered behind their eyes when she talked to any of them. Their lead wolf shared a tragic tale of loss with her later that night. Dewberry was ecstatic to find more travelers along the way. They joined forces and made a small pack of their own and melded in with another established pack for a while. She learned about the different kinds of farm animals that live in the grasslands and even got to see humans working with their animals up close when the pack went to hunt. Eventually, however, she decided it wasn't the place for her forever home, and off she went again. [ 17818 added pasadena oak branch]
Eventually she found her way to the forest. To a pack of the most unique wolves she had ever seen so many colors & all with the same coat pattern. She was very taken with Honeycomb the packs breeding male & bore him a litter of puppies. One, a reflection of her father,a memory to remember him by. The she wolf had trotted through the prairies, running into a scout who was on his way back home. Alpha Dakoda of the Galactics pack happily greeted her. He almost never payed attention to any travelers the pack had come across, but Dewberry was different. The alpha had showed her around the lands after a bit of talking. Dewberry had also been spoiled by the rest of the pack, gladly sharing stories with them or engaging in games with the puppies. Making her way back through the Deciduous forest had her meeting yet another Traveling Wolf, named Ashen, on their way out from a nearby den. And after some small talk and directions to the Rockford Pack's winter/spring den spot, she chanced upon the clan's odd-eyed Herbalist while foraging, to which he was more than happy to finish leading the female to the pack. Once there, the pups were more than excited to see a another new face so soon after the last guest left, and they took to her quite fast. There were two other Travelers that showed up in within the next day, and it was a pleasure hearing their different stories and experiences. Soon it was time for the pack to pick up and travel themselves to hone their hunters skills in more difficult terrain, so she and the other Travelers felt it was time to head out once more. Heading north towards the mountains Dewberry chanced upon and lumino eyed, jacinthe pelt herbalist. The herbalist raised her head looking to Dewberry and nodded her head. "You must be a traveler." Dewberry blinked taken off guard at the statement/question given by this herbalist, unable to find any words she merely nodded. "I'm Shenta the Adolphus Packs' herbalist, come I'll bring you back to the camp I just finished foraging." Dewberry replied. "Nice to meet you I'm Dewberry." After their formal announcements to each other Shenta led Dewberry back to the pack. While her stay in the pack she found herself fancying a wolf and soon found herself with pups. Celine the lead said it wasn't safe to travel so she insisted Dewberry stay longer and provided food, and nesting materials to give birth. After having given birth Dewberry said her goodbyes the herbalist giving her a gift, a spicebush swallowtail to keep her company before departing. "Come back anytime!" It was dusk when a familiar voice rang out through the Sun Stealers camp: "Heeeey! Did you miss me?" It was our girl Dewberry, back for a visit. She regaled us with tales of her travels: She visited the Kingdom of Light, where the pack leader, Helios, built a sky-den entirely from sunbeams and moonbeams. In the mountains, she was attacked by a savage direwolf. She bested him in combat, then had a whirlwind romance with his wife (now ex-wife). Later, she met a jacinthe mystic who inducted her into the mysteries of the spirit and gave her a fae familiar in the form of a spicebush swallowtail.
We were pretty sure she was embellishing her stories, but it was all right. They were good stories, and we were glad to see her doing well. [Lionel#34199]
Dewberry had been traveling for several days now, finding herself far south by the rainforests. Traveling at night to escape to heat, she almost aimlessly followed the brightest star in the sky. There were plenty of bright stars, but this one just held her attention..only being pulled away when she picked up the scent of another wolf. It was a male wolf named Zuhal, who greeted Dewberry warmly and introduce himself. They described themselves as a pack of many and that their range branched across the entire land, anyone was free to come and go. She also learned she wasn't the only wolf to have recently visited, that even Ashen had been here just a few days prior—she was disappointed to have missed her. There was a few interesting things to note; for some reason it was always night, there was a pair of albino conjoined twins that would have vague premonitions, and lots of talk about an "all mother" but Dewberry never saw her.
Dewberry was gifted a Owl Talon Necklace from the twins, "Always be alert, in the rocks they are watching." This keeps her up at night, what does that even mean? [Rho #2121]

Once she set off again, Dewberry made her way to the grasslands and discovered a new pack living there - the Pack of the Wayward, just settling in after their most recent move. After introducing herself to the pack's Queen, Caoimhe, she found that they were quite friendly - more so than some other packs she'd stayed with - and treated her as if she'd lived with them her whole life. Dewberry made a quick stop into the Rockford Pack's den area once again, staying for the Spring months and into Summer. The weird things going on the in world made her anxious, but her desire for travel wouldn't leave her in one place too long. At the age of 6 and a half, Dewberry came back home to live with the Sun Stealers...though, she mused, it didn't feel much like home.
Her puphood memories of the place were distant. She remembered being excited for mealtime when Cobalt and the rest of the Ghost River squad would bring home a huge caribou. She remembered stealing herbs from Lime's stash on a dare from Zerii, and being chased by a snarling Lime until Levi told her to chill out. And, of course, she remembered curling up at night with Chendol and Wraith, safe and warm in their den.
All those wolves were long dead and gone, replaced by strangers.
Even the wolves she recognized were essentially strangers to her. Her childhood playmate Lyric was now the head pupsitter, having taken over Dewberry's planned position. Wyrmfang, who used to be the world's biggest pain in the ass to pupsit, was now an elderly and highly respected hunter, busily training her successor. Like, wtf.
Dewberry decided she didn't mind. She considered the Sun Stealers just another stop on her traveling journey. A good place to rest her paws and take a long nap in the sun.
