Blizzard was born into the Kugeru clan as the second generation while her mother(Snowfur) was in power. She also had a brother that she can barely remember as he was given away as a peace treaty with a different clan. As she was growing up, she was largely kept out of politics by her father and never had much interaction with her mother. She always craved attention and approval from her mother, although she never got much. Her father always tried to reassure her that Snowfur loved her very much but was just always very busy with work and responsibilities. Blizzard became more convinced that if she became the perfect heir, her mother would one day give her approval. Blizzard learned the way of the pack and memorized it religiously. She would shadow her mother constantly and learn how the affairs of the court worked. When she was ready to be mated, she chose one of the most prestigious and high-class wolves that she had known since she was young, named Coal. Coal was the older, adoptive brother of Silver who agreed to marry the young Blizzard if she allowed Silver to live comfortably his entire life. Blizzard agreed and the two were mated with the blessing of her mother, who finally told the young girl that she was proud of her. Blizzard was elated and Coal and her began having children the next year.
