"Who are you? Oh, a visitor, huh? Do me a favor then and stay away from the pups." She huffs. You manage to just barely hear her mutter, "Don't trust all these damn strangers Ore keeps letting through. One of these days she's gonna invite someone with ill-intentions."

Bio
"It's been a long time since I've thought about my life before Ore and her pack took me in. It was... lonely."
Quartzite left her birth pack shortly after reaching adulthood to start her own pack, just like many young wolves do. However, many wolves were turned down or hard to keep with Quartzite's paranoia and cynical approach to her new world. After failing to bond and form a pack, she eventually stopped trying. Why bother after so many months of rejection?
For the next few years, Quartzite would travel the forest. Never staying in one place for long and keeping her distance from other wolves. That all changed one day during one of Ore's explorations of their new territory. Curious about the older female, and trying not to cause another pack to become upset, Ore questioned what she was doing out alone, asking if she was a scout for her pack. Quartzite huffed and answered that she had no pack, and she would be leaving soon enough. Even more curious now, Ore questioned why she wasn't part of a pack. Again, Quartzite huffed before answering.
Now feeling sorry for the older wolf, Ore hesitantly offered to host her in her pack. Allowing her the chance to eat and rest safely before moving on. At first, Quartzite planned to refuse, and in fact, did the first time she offered. However, that was when she learned that Ore, despite her somewhat sheepish nature, was stubborn. They insisted that Quartzite come eat with her pack. Eventually their persistence wore at Quartzite enough to give in and accept, but only for one night. Ore then happily lead her back to their pack's home.
At the time, Marble was the only member of the pack. Quartzite asked Ore why she even bothered saying she had a pack if it was only made up of two wolves. Ore shyly explained it was because she was due any day now with her first litter of pups. This caught Quartzite off guard. Ore and Marble were hardly pups themselves after all. She didn't pry though. It wasn't her business when wolves wanted to have pups. The news did bring a new feeling though. Knowing that these two young wolves were trying to start a family, it suddenly gave her an urge to help and protect these two strangers. She pushed it aside at first. Quartzite had made it clear to both Ore and herself that she only intended to stay one night.
That changed almost immediately when that same night, Ore went into labor. Marble was panicking, having no idea how to comfort his mate. Ore was panicking because Marble was distressed. Despite never having pups of her own, Quartzite had enough sense and instinct in her to know how to help both wolves. Marble was sent hunting for food to keep him distracted, while Quartzite herself tended to Ore. It was a long and hard night for the leader, but by dawn break she'd give birth to two healthy pups.
When Marble returned and eagerly rushed to check on Ore and meet his new pups, Quartzite took a moment to give the family some space and do some thinking. Part of her reminded herself that she'd stayed one night and it was now time for her to leave, but a much larger part wanted her stay and look after the small family. At last she came to the decision to stay when Ore called to her, asking to see her in the den again. In that moment, Quartzite knew she'd ask Ore if she could join the family, then dutifully answered her new leader's call.
