2021-07-16 Caught unaware by a rival pack, Artemisia - Dreamwalker, Bearslayer - was killed and the rest of the pack forced out of their territory losing several key members in the process.
Fleeing as far south as they could the survivors found themselves in a lush rainforest full of strange creatures and new challenges. The pack voted on who would be their next leader and chose Lycium, Artemisia's protegee to lead them. But the vote wasn't unanimous as many doubted that young Lycium had the maturity to be an effective leader.
Lycium chose to prove himself by walking in the Lunar Dreamlands like his mentor. It proved to be a brutal trial by fire and he came out of the Dreamlands triumphant but battered.
It wasn't only enemies that he encountered in that strange realm however, as a mischievous lunar chipmunk decided that Lycium was a friend - whether the wolf wanted to be or not! Despite Lycium's attempts to dissuaded him, his new friend insisted on accompanying him into the day-time world.
In the end it wasn't an enemy from outside the pack that killed Lycium, but one within. He was poisoned by the healer Capella in revenge for giving her two pups to the spirit wolf Bronagh.
