Born into a pack located far in the west, Suchong had a lot of potential when it came to Herbalism and always showed an interest in it. He excelled at it, well aware of the talent he was gifted. Acknowledging his skill, he decided to be a traveling herbalist. He told his at-the-time pack leader his plans. He stayed until they found a replacement then set off.
Suchong is a selfless wolf, he struggles to speak that way but his actions show it. He spent many months on his own helping injured dispersal wolves, offering his Herbalist skills to packs with spreading illness or in need of a temporary service.
After a few years he stumbled across two female wolves, Jasmine and Diane, looking to start their own pack and were in need of aid. This was the first brand new pack in-progress he had come across. He agreed to it temporarily.
The skill he lent was priceless and supplied them regularly with lots of medication. As the pack grew, so did his affection for the members. He respected Jasmine as a Leader, Diane as a beta, and admired how talented the first hunting party formed was.
Suchong became an extremely respected Herbalist in Gotham Pack. His confidence in his work and himself gave comfort to those he aided. He never treated his job as a joke and was constantly out foraging and crafting medications. Despite this hard, seemingly distracting work he checks his packmates health regularly, stepping in when needed if the wolf isn't admitting to an ailment.
Do not take him as a lenient type of healer. He will not tolerate wolves that exert themselves or refuse treatment. He has a stern paw at making sure wolves sit still, rest and listen to his instructions. This did make him unpopular with most of the pups and adolescents.

At five years old, Suchong had not considered taking on an apprentice until young Forsythia showed an interest in the craft. He still has a good couple years left in him, yet he couldn't turn the eager pup down. He appointed her as his replacement for when he passes on. Some whispers rumor that because Suchong never had pups of his own he sees Forsythia as an adoptive daughter and that convinced him to take her under his wing as well.
