Biography
The Father
Akela never planned to stay in the Lonely Mountain Pack for long. Injured and hungry, he found the pack in their first autumn, and reasoned he'd have better chances of making it through the winter as part of a group. Unable to hunt, he'd ended up spending most of his time watching the pups with Raksha. His direct and bossy approach tempered well with Raksha's softer side, and much to his surprise, as the days went on he found himself starting to like his new role.
He often spoke about his plans to leave eventually, but as the snow melted into spring, he continued raising pups, always by the side of his fellow pupsitter. Spring turned to summer, then to autumn again; when the first snow began to fall, he announced the obvious: he was staying with the pack, and with Raksha, for good.
