KULL-shawn : Mount Baker
Kulshan was named for the mountain her parents raised her on, in their small pack, composed of her parents, their siblings, and her cousins. As the only pup in her litter, Kulshan was doted on. Her childhood was full of playing and hunting in the springtime, and honing her agility and speed in the summer. By fall, her parents had encouraged her to seek out more than their little pack, and when winter came, Kulshan decided to head out on her own.
Kulshan first came across Esel when she wandered into his territory, and he became the first member to join her new pack. They sought out dozens of other wolves, and over the course of their first year together, had formed a talented hunting party, trained great scouts, and had befriended the first healer of the pack, Kosah.
When their first winter arrived, Kulshan had her first litter of pups. Prey was scarce and the first winter was colder than usual. The runt, who she named Mulak, was the only survivor. Esel helped Mulak become a talented hunter, even though she was not his daughter. After a second successful year, Kulshan had her second litter, and named her favorite daughter after the snow. Snu was fascinated by Kosah, and became the next herbalist of the pack. The next year, Kulshan had her third litter, and Minihapa was born. Kulshan saw a lot of herself in her youngest daughter, and named her for the mountain they now resided by. Kulshan knew this last daughter was going to succeed her as alpha, and decided to train her as such.
