Biography
You stumble across a rocky lakeshore, heading towards the water's edge for a drink, when you spot a large female wolf already there drinking. You hesitantly approach her hulking shape, and she looks over at you and smiles.
"Hello! Stopping for a drink as well?" She says, and her friendly demeanor helps relax you. "My name's Signi. I'm a part of the Clockwork pack that watches over this territory. You look like you've been a long way, huh?" She said, sitting down and looking you up and down.
"You don't need to worry about anything though, you're welcome to stop and rest here as long as you aren't a troublemaker!" She stops and squints her eyes at you, staring you down for a moment. "You aren't a troublemaker, right?" She speaks in a low growl. You quickly assure her you aren't and she laughs and nudges you.
"Yeah, I trust you, I was just playing with you, little bud. A lot of the people here are nice, it's refreshing." She says contentedly, looking out over the thin layer of mist that hung over the lake's surface. It takes a moment for her to notice your quizzical look.
"Oh! Sorry, got lost in thought there for a moment. I used to live in a different pack, far away from here. We used to live next to a mountain lake a lot like this one, probably what has me remembering them. I miss some of them, yeah, but it's for the best I left." She said, a bitter edge creeping into her voice. "My father used to be in charge of the pack, but he had gotten old, and weaker. So some young hotshot saw it as an opportunity, and took over the pack."
She growled, mostly to herself, before turning back to you with an apologetic expression. "Sorry, old grudges. It's needless to say he and I didn't get along. So I left. Found my way here. I like it here much better." She said, standing up and stretching out with a yawn.
"Okay, it's getting late. Been a long day of hunting for me, and gonna be another long one tomorrow. Those deer aren't going to finish themselves off, am I right?" She chuckles, and you have no problem imagining her taking down a deer. "You're welcome to come with me, if you need a place to sleep for the night. You can meet some of the other hunters, if you haven't already! They're a good group, I'm sure you'd like them." Signi says, and starts off up the rocky slope.
