Alba

Gentle eyes glittered as the creature lay, head rested atop his white-tipped paws. The den was far from a yawning cavern, in fact, the wolf with his mane of cream and white fur seemed as if he hardly fit in it himself. Yet, as he pulled himself out into the sunlight, shaking out his sun-warmed mane you couldn't help but notice the way he moved. It was fluid, as if he were dancing in the early morning sun. And, oddly enough, a small rotund bird followed him out of his dug-out den. With a gentle trill and the flapping of wings, the bird flapped up to his perch between the he-wolf's ears.

What was even more odd than the bird, was the gentle humming that came from the wolf himself. As if music only he could hear rang in his ears, he stretched and sprawled in the sunshine, humming all the while. It was only then did he catch sight of you, turning his eyes toward your crouched form. When he turned his muzzle, you caught sight of his other eye. It lacked the glimmer of the other one. It was clouded, unfocused. Probably due to the scar that tore through the outside corner of the pale eye.

Yet, at the sight of a stranger, he smiled and called out to you, "Welcome, traveler!" His voice was gentle, melodious even as he rose to his feet. The little bird called out in protest and flapped back into the den at the sight of you slinking out of the bushes. This stranger showed no fear as he approached you, eyes tender. He introduced himself as Alba, and welcomed you to spend the day with him.

How could you say no to such a beautiful creature?

Alba is fast, and most importantly he knows the desert. He's the best way to get messages to, well, anyone. He's paid handsomely for his services, mostly in food for his pack.
