Named for her brilliant coat, which shined in the sunlight. She and her sister Quickpad were inseparable, often chasing each other around like their mother Orion would do with her sister-like figure Aurora when they were pups. Between the two, Jewel was usually the one lagging behind. This allowed her to see dangers that Quickpad often ignored or missed, but she wasn't always able to stop her sister from tumbling headfirst into them.
