A strong and agrressive she-wolf, Santa Rita took issue with leadership of the pack having passed down through Tucson, rather than of her mother, Kykotsmovi. When Tucson's daughter, Marana, a helpful and sweet but weak-willed wolf, stepped up to lead the pack after Tucson's death, Santa Rita made her move. Aggressively challenging the weaker wolf, Santa Rita's victory was total and swift. Despite her short temper and combative personality, the pack continued to thrive under her leadership.
