Born living the loner life, Desari traveled much of her youth and survived with luck and experience. By the time she was 4, she came upon two wolves, one was a well-known black wolf named Tala and the other was a young she-wolf named Bhavna. Tala told Desari that Bhavna was new and could use a wise and older wolf to guide her to building a successful pack. Desari was made the second in command and stayed there until she retired from scouting, and for her years in the elder den, she mentored most of the pups born.
