Lichen had grown from a pack who resided in the Coniferous Forest, as a pup, she was mentored in the practices of scouting, hunting, and even herbalism practices. Many other pups were given the opportunities to learn these skills. Once she and her peers were of the right age, her pack held trials to pick the roles for the next generation of scouts, hunters, and herbalists. The best scorer overall would have a chance to adapt the role of a "Wandering Lead", In which you are to carry on the ideals and customs of the pack to make a pack of your own, and as an adolescent you are sent to Tala. Tala is a very old and wise jet-black wolf who carries the history of every pack ever created with her. You would think that'd reflect on her character. Tala was very kind and motherly towards Lichen and the other adolescents working under her. With Tala's guidance, she went on to stake claim of a portion of the Coniferous Forest for herself.
